Visit with TJ Technologies and Legend Seeds January 24, 2013

TJ Technologies is a leading crop biological developer and manufacturer for most of the crops grown in the Upper Midwest. There products have proven themselves to me and I wanted to have the opportunity to visit the facility to learn more. As my fortune would have it, some innovative customers also found the importance of learning all that they can.

Our first stop on the trip was to TJ Technologies in Watertown, South Dakota

Here we had some hands on of the products and what they are capable of providing to customers.

Notice the light coming from the growth chamber. It is designed to mimic the optimal light wavelength that best suites the plants.

There was much more here to learn that what our time allowed.

During the facility tour we came to these windows which gave us a view of the state of the art growth chamber.

The company is growing and utilizes a lot of warehouse space.

Second leg of the trip was to Legend Seeds' main office in DeSmet, South Dakota

Legend Seeds is only a short drive from the TJ Technologies facility and this forward looking company has been proactive in using only the products that work.

Tim Bratland, Legend Seeds product manager, is giving us a rundown on genetic selection.

Legend Seeds has learned the benefits of Quickroots, therefore many of their varieties come pretreated with the product.

A final Q&A (as well as restocking of coffee, cookies and soda) before heading home.
